Student Organization Support

The Student Organizations, Leadership and Engagement (SOLE) Office, the Association of Student Activities (ASA), the Campus Activities Complex (CAC), and the Division of Student Life (DSL) partner to help student organization leaders navigate the procedures and guidelines of the Institute, as well as understand the wide range of services offered through various departments, including those within and beyond the DSL. Our shared goal is to equip student leaders with the information and resources they need to successfully manage their student organizations at MIT.

Student Organizations, Leadership, & Engagement (SOLE) Office

The SOLE Office is a department within the DSL that provides support, resources, and development opportunities to students involved in organizations, governing boards, programming boards, and leadership programs at MIT.

Association of Student Activities (ASA)

The ASA is a joint committee of the Undergraduate Association (UA) and the Graduate Student Council (GSC). The ASA is the governing body for recognized student organizations and collaborates with the SOLE Office to oversee student organization activities at MIT.

Campus Activities Complex (CAC)

CAC is a department within the DSL that supports MIT community members in planning, creating, and implementing events across campus. CAC helps student organization officers and event planners reserve the right spaces and equipment for their group's activities and assists student organization leaders in the management of their ASA-allocated space.

Division of Student Life (DSL)

The DSL partners with students, faculty, and staff to develop enriching environments and experiences that promote students’ knowledge, wellbeing, independence, and accountability.
