The SOLE Office's signature leadership programs are offered annually and all MIT students are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Welcome to your first year at MIT—your leadership journey starts here! The First-Year Leadership Program (FYLP) is a semester-long program designed just for the incoming first-year student, to help them connect, grow, and lead. FYLP takes place annually during the fall semester, but kicks-off with the Camp Infinite FPOP summer retreat!
The FYLP 2025 Application will open in June 2025!

Ready for a trip that’s more than just a getaway? The Experiential Trips Program (ETP) gives you the chance to step out of the classroom and into a transformative experience. These three-day, out-of-state trips are all about diving deep into leadership topics while connecting with MIT students, staff, and alumni who share your passion and curiosity. Get ready to be challenged, learn from others, and explore leadership in a whole new way.

The Leadership Capstone Program (LCP) is a semester-long experience designed specifically for seniors, giving them the mindset, skills, and real-world strategies needed to excel as a leader after graduation. LCP takes place every spring, and it’s the chance to shape the final chapter of your MIT experience while preparing for success in the next phase of life.
The 2026 LCP Application will open in November 2025!
The annual Community Catalyst Leadership Program (CCLP) events bring student organization leaders together in social settings to build relationships and explore leadership through informal and fun activities. The aim of CCLP is to inspire students to serve as catalysts for increasing connection and collaboration between student organizations at MIT.
Each September, student organization officers can register to participate together in a trip to a high-ropes challenge course alongside officers of other student organizations at MIT!
Each April, graduate student organization members can register to participate in a social where they can meet and get to know other graduate students involved in student organizations at MIT!
