Requests for Payment (RFPs)

RFP reimbursements allow members to recover personal funds used for organization expenses. All RFPs must be submitted within 60 business days of purchase. Late submissions may result in delays or denial of reimbursement.

Sales Taxes

MIT does not reimburse sales tax in states where tax exemption is recognized. Inform vendors of MIT's tax-exempt status before purchases. Visit the Tax Exemptions Resources page on the VPF website for details.

Payments to Non-US Citizens

RFP prize payments to non-US citizens are subject to a 30% IRS withholding unless a W8BEN Form is provided. Visit the Payments & Procurements Abroad page on the VPF website for details.
