Student Organization Financial Processes

Fundraisers

Fundraisers must comply with all event planning policies. Fundraisers are classified as Category 2 Events, requiring an Atlas Event Registration to be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the event date. Student organizations are prohibited from donating their funds, received in any form, unless (1) the funds are raised independently by the student organization and (2) the student organization clearly communicated the intent of the fundraised to all participating/donating parties. If officers of a student organization are interested in hosting a fundraiser for and/or making a donation to an external organization, they should email the Assistant Director of Financial Operations for Student Organizations and complete the Donations to Charity Form.
