About Us

Founded in 1885, MIT Technique aims to provide a venue for students' creative expression through photography and design, connect student photographers with events and opportunities around campus, and document student life as part of its award-winning yearbook.

Members Benefits

Members, affectionately referred to as "staph" (staff photographers), are able to use Technique's resources—including professional displays, computing resources, lighting equipment, and of course cameras and lenses for yearbook production, personal projects, and commercial use. Technique also provides trainings and photography outings throughout the academic year. Moreover, staph participating in the creation of the yearbook receive a free copy.
