About Us

MIT Swara is the Indian Classical Music Group at MIT with a focus on South Indian Carnatic music. We gather weekly to jam together and learn new pieces collectively out of a shared passion for this unique style of music. We welcome people at all levels to learn and perform together, both at MIT events and at event we organize for the MIT community. Our mission is to connect musicians at MIT to each other and to the thriving Carnatic music ecosystem in the greater Boston area.
