Archery Interest Form

For all new archers, experienced or otherwise, please fill out this form so we can get you on the correct mailing list.

Individuals interested in learning archery must attend an open practice before coming to regular practices. Open practices occur once a month, and sign-ups will be available here on Engage.

Instructions

First, please add yourself to our mailing list by visiting this link https://groups.mit.edu/webmoira/list/mit-archery-interest and clicking "add me."

Notifications for future intro practices will be sent to the above email list. We try to hold an Intro Practice once every couple of months.

Adding yourself to the mailing list requires an MIT certificate. If you are an alumni/spouse and don't have a certificate, please reach out to archery-officers@mit.edu to be manually added.

If you believe you have sufficient experience to test-out of the introduction practice, email archery-officers@mit.edu for a case review.

Thank you for your interest in participating in the MIT Archery Club. This organization is looking for long-term commitment to improvement and wants to build the archery community at MIT. You do not need to have experience to start in the club, as archery can be mastered at any age and plenty of MIT affiliates have started shooting at MIT. However, this sport does require focused effort to improve, and we encourage that in our practices. If you are interested in just trying/tasting archery, and long-term commitment to this sport isn't for you, MIT has a PE Archery Program, which is recreational, and where you can have fun learning the basics of archery and get PE credit. Trainings happen once per month (usually) and have limited spots. After you fill out this form, the last page has instructions on how to add yourself to a mailing list to be notified when the next one is scheduled.
