Details
A few weeks ago, Valencia (Spain), birthplace of paella, experienced devastating flash floods that resulted in tragic loss and widespread destruction. A sudden surge of rainstorms hit the region with intense force, taking the life of over two hundred people and destroying hundreds of homes and businesses.
We invite you to join us for a charity dinner at Morss Hall (MIT Walked Memorial) on November 26th, from 6 to 9PM. We will come together as a community to honor the lives lost and support those in need. Paella and other traditional Spanish dishes will be served. The cost of the entrance to the event will be donated in full to WCK, a charity organization that provides cooked meals to communities in need around the globe, and which is currently contributing to relief efforts in Valencia.
For a donation starting at $7, you get a delicious dinner, and the people of Valencia get support for rebuilding the community we all know and love. This is made possible by the generosity of MIT Spain (MISTI), the GSC Funding Board, the Olespaña restaurant, and YOURS.
Thank you in advance for your support,
The board of Spain@MIT
