About Us
The purpose of the SSA is to be a home for all students with either an interest in South Slavic culture and history, or students with a South Slavic background interested in connecting with other South Slavs. The SSA aims to connect the many American South Slavs, International South Slavic students, as well as friends and generally interested students in the culture. The group will work to be a source of connection in a network of such students and promote student mental health and interaction the through organization of cultural events. The group will aim at all times to remain a positive, open, and supportive atmosphere based on understanding the cultural complexities of the South Slavic and general Balkan region, as well as first and foremost promoting unity through wonderful food, music and dances.
