The Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program raises chronic kidney disease (CKD) awareness and prevention by providing free health screenings and education for early detection of risk factors of CKD to underserved populations.

KDSAP members will have the opportunity to: 1) Set up/ Provide free kidney health screenings to identify individuals who may have developed or are at risk for developing chronic kidney disease (CKD), with a specific focus on underserved populations who are at a greater risk for CKD, 2) Advocate for preventive medicine and raise public awareness about the prevalence of CKD and other renal diseases through community-based education, 3) Explore nephrology and the medical field through talks with different physicians in the Boston area, build leadership and networking skills, and give back to the community
