MIT SVA: Resumes with Military Experience

The federal resume, the academic CV, and the industry/civilian resume are very different creatures, and it is important to understand the difference in order to craft the right document for your specific career goals. 

Join us online on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 15:30 as we begin the first of our SVA Professional Development Series in partnership with CAPD, with our first topic on creating Resumes with Military Experience. 

At this workshop, learn some best practices for creating an effective industry resume. Hear from veteran mentors with exceptional civilian careers as they describe how they showcase their military experience on paper. This workshop will be facilitated by Amanda Cornwall, Associate Director for Graduate Professional Development, and will feature military veterans and industry leaders Charlotte McWilliams and Teri Centner.

The SVA will be offering $20 towards a GrubHub order of your choice for all SVA members who register for the event on or before Feb 6th. Be sure to register for the event before the end of the day on 2/6 to receive the $20 credit. GrubHub is not available for non-members, but everyone is welcome to attend the event.
