Dear Class of 2026,
A final reminder to fill out this form by 11:59 PM TONIGHT (NO EXCEPTIONS) to register your guests, if you purchased a Plus One ticket.
We are excited to welcome you to Senior Ball on May 24, from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Fairmont Copley Plaza (138 St. James Avenue, Boston, MA).
To ensure you have the best experience at the event, please carefully review the information below:
- Ticket sales: No tickets will be sold at the door, and tickets are non-refundable for any reason. Be sure to bring your Government ID (required for entry), MIT ID (mobile ID is okay!), and the QR Code ticket confirmation. Your MIT ID will be linked to the purchased ticket.
- Entrance and Check-In: Guests may enter the Fairmont Copley Plaza either through the Dartmouth Street entrance or the St. James Avenue entrance. Upon arrival at the check-in area, MIT students will have to scan their MIT ID and provide their Plus One full name for verification. Then, the Fairmont Security team will verify Government ID, put on wristbands to identify drinking age, search bags, and check signs of intoxication.
- Time: The doors will be open from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No entry will be allowed after 9:00 pm. The bar closes at 10:30 pm, and the venue must be entirely cleared by 11:00 pm.
- Transportation: Please arrange your own transportation to and from the Fairmont Copley Plaza.
- Dress Code: The attire for the event is formal. Coat racks will be available for self-service. Please do not wear a costume to the Senior Ball event. Face coverings and masks (except for COVID masks) are not allowed. To help ensure everyone's safety, please keep your face visible at all times.
- Admission & Plus One Guests: Please remember to bring your Government ID (required for entry), MIT ID (mobile ID is okay!), and the QR Code ticket confirmation. If you are bringing a Plus One, they must be accompanied by you for the check-in process. Please note that you are responsible for your Plus One. Make sure they receive this email and bring a Government ID as well.
- Cash Bar: Drinks will be available for purchase; please bring a payment method.
- Food: Food and beverages will be available while supplies last (show up on time!), but we recommend having a substantial meal before you arrive. Please do not bring any food or beverages (including water) to the venue, as all items will be inspected and confiscated.
- Photography: Photographers and videographers will be present during the event, capturing photos and recordings of guests.
- Security: Guests 21 and older will receive a wristband from the Fairmont Security team to indicate legal drinking age. Fairmont Copley Plaza and Boston Police will be present and patrolling the venue throughout the event. The SOLE Office and Fairmont Copley management reserve the right to remove individuals or deny entry to anyone who disrupts order or compromises safety. Additionally, Fairmont reserves the right to refuse entry to any item at their discretion.
Please be respectful and comply with the following guidelines:
- Small-bag policy: For the safety of all attendees, no large bags or backpacks are permitted in the event venue. Only small bags or handbags will be allowed and are subject to search.
- Arrive sober / No alcohol or other substances: Please do not bring any beverages (including water, alcohol, mini liquor nips/shooters) or substances or show up intoxicated. Any items brought will be confiscated, and you will be asked to leave the event. Visibly intoxicated guests will not be allowed entry and will be asked to leave.
- No re-entry policy: Once you leave the event, you will not be allowed to re-enter the venue.
- Damages: You will be responsible for any damages caused. Please also be respectful and kind towards the Fairmont Copley Plaza staff.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
Best regards,
The 2026 Senior Ball Committee
